Wolverhampton, UK: Pommier can now supply Wihag modular sectional rear doors for dry freight or temperature-controlled vehicles.

Wihag sectional rear doors consist of modular elements that plug together for fast installation, Pommier says,   The TrainPlus range, in aluminium alloy panels, is designed for dry transport, while the Thermosafe range, in steel panels, filled with XPS thermal insulation foam, is for temperature-controlled transport.

The design allows fast assembly – less than two hours – with simple use and maintenance.   Wihag sectional doors are designed for intensive use and comprise an assembly of modular elements:

• a pre-drilled custom vertical rail system • a pre-drilled custom horizontal rail system • painted sectional panels (RAL to customer’s choice) in aluminium alloy 25 mm thick, or in XPS insulating foam-filled painted steel, 60 mm or 40 mm thick • pre-installed panel seals and vertical seals • door bottom seal • two pre-assembled torsion springs, factory adjusted • two stainless steel door cables with mounting brackets • hybrid rollers in fibreglass reinforced polyamide • top, bottom and middle roller support brackets • panel stop plates • manual closing system with padlockable hook (optional plate) • galvanised steel pull-handle • belt, length 550 mm.

When doors are opened/closed, panel articulation is provided by a continuous hinge system that is integral with the panels. Similarly, the roller mountings screw directly into a grooved recess in the Trainplus panels.

Many component elements can be removed easily, and thus replaced with no need to remove the door. This considerably facilitates maintenance and saves time.

Pommier and Wihag signed a distribution agreement in late 2020. This follows similar deals for the Swedish Onspot automatic snow chain, Crony wheel chocks and the Italian Lokhen and Daken Strike extinguisher units. All these are now available from Pommier.
